    Sweet taste

Hi Everyone. I haven’t been on here in so long but I’m finding myself overcome with anxiety again over a symptom I have had for the past week.
I keep getting a taste of sugar in my mouth I don’t think it’s coming from anything. It’s like random bits of sugar dropping on my tongue in different places on my tongue. I am terrified this is signalling a neurological condition. It it’s like pin pricks of sugar landing all over my tongue in different spots and there is definitley not sugar in my mouth. I am terrified so so so scared right now

    Re: Sweet taste

I was going to say deja vu, but that would be in bad taste

These types of physiological anomalies happen, Livvy, and there is rarely anything serious going on. Could be something we've eaten repeating or simply tiny bits of food in our mouth. Even the air we breathe can contain particles which affect taste.

So file this under "harmless anomalies".

Oh yes. Dejavu was a very bad time for me.
Thanks for your reply I’m just very anxious and unsure what to do with my self at the minute because of it

I've had a metallic taste in my mouth for a while but then it disappeared, sometimes worrying about a symptom can make it worse/last longer
