Red spots tip of tongue

Please help me guys, so my last few posts have been about petechiae, I had my bloods done which came back normal. Unnoticed this morning I have tiny red dots at the tip of my tongue and I’m freaking out again.

I’ve never ever noticed these before. Has anyone had anything similar??

I freaked out about that a few years ago. Tiny red dots on my tongue. I don't know what they are but they didn't do me any harm. I just checked there and I still have them. They have probably been there for years, but of course the day I noticed them I diagnosed myself with oral cancer.
Don't worry about them. The more we check our bodies the more imperfections we'll find!!
You'll be fine, try to distract yourself until this one passes

Thanks so much brokengirl. Honestly I don’t know how to stop doing this and finding things to stress about. I know I shouldn’t be asking but are your dots at the tip and are tiny like pin pricks?

I'm in the worst place I've ever been with health anxiety. I went to the doctor today and she basically told me that I have to go on meds and have cbt to get better. She was a new doctor but was so nice and understanding.
My life lately has been where you are now - constantly finding things to worry about.
My advice to you would be that if it's getting too much and taking over your life then get help. I don't want to go on meds but I don't want to live like this either. Hopefully the meds are just a stepping stone to getting my life back again.


And to answer your question about the spots on my tongue, I have a few at the tip and some more along the sides. They're exactly like red tiny pin pricks. That's how I used to describe them.
I bet loads of people have them, but us HA sufferers will see them and worry that they're a sign of something serious. Because that's what we do But they're nothing to worry about

I’m sorry to hear you are suffering too, I phoned the let’s talk health line today and have booked an assessment as I know I need it. I’m really tempted to go on meds too as I can’t go on like this. I’m destroying myself with the constant worry and being on high alert all day. Please do let me know which meds you take, I would be happy to share experiences with you! X

Good for you ringing the health line today. None of us want to be ringing health lines or taking medication, but we sure as hell don't want to live with this anxiety either.
When I was talking to the doctor today she couldn't believe how bad I was, said that I was torturing myself living like this. She said nobody should have to live like this but she kept stressing that I will need both meds and therapy. It's the only way to truly combat HA.
I'm currently on a low dose of amitriptyline (10mg) so she upped my dose of those to 25mg. I take them for migraine prevention but she wants me to up the dose to help me get a better night's sleep. And she also prescribed Lyrica for my anxiety. I'm starting off on 100mg a day for a week and she'll talk to me in a weeks time to see how I'm getting on with them. I can't take SSRIs because they cause severe migraines in me.
I'll start taking the Lyrica tomorrow so fingers crossed it will help me. I'll let you know how I get on with them.
I just want my life back again, and to be able to get on with normal day to day things without be eaten up with worry all the time

I just wanted to respond to this and say around a month ago I went through the red spots on the tongue anxiety. It got bad I was looking at photos of people’s tongue piercings on IG. That’s when I realised a lot of people have them.

They are taste buds, either normal or enlarged.

Same thing happened to me 10 years. Noticed them one day, went to the doc. However HE wasn't sure about them! Sent me for bloods - all fine. So sent me to an oral specialist who diagnosed them as taste buds! All that worry over nothing!
