    Dentist tomorrow for extraction :(

I've put this off for so long that I'm in agony. The agony made me call my dentist yesterday to ask for a removal. They said no, they're not open until September. Their advice was come down and collect a temp. filling kit and some pain medications.

My partner managed to get through to emergency dentist in the area (who are also the same company as my regular dentist!). I've got appointment for tomorrow at 11am to have it taken out at the local emergency dentist.

I'm bricking it. I don't fear the extraction I fear the numbing stuff. I'm scared that will kill me, or cause my heart rate to go fast.

If you're reading Joe ... yes it's that same tooth from months back.

Ask them for the non-adrenalin injection. Good luck

You'll be okay, James. You'll feel a lot better afterwards with that tooth out, trust me.

You’ll do good and you’ll feel so much better after. When I’m in the chair I try and remember a film or book I liked from beginning to end.

Your heart rate will be fast anyway lol.

However, tell them about your anxiety before they start, tell them it's likely to be bad. They will be used to dealing with it. A local anesthetic shouldn't provoke a spike in heart rate outside the normal anxiety response, but some dentists will offer a sedative if you need it. Better to be open and ask about it before you go in the chair.

Having bad pain tonight. Co codimol (even 30/500) won't touch it. There's Tramadol here but I won't use it as it's my partners.

Maybe a night of no sleep and agony is required. If the pain is this bad all night I'll be wanting to get it ripped out.

And thanks all. I've had teeth out before so statistically I'm fine. I'll have a couple extra Valium; my doctor would most definitely agree given the circumstance.

Might be able to knock the nicotine habit on the head too because can't smoke incase dry socket.

Yeah, and I've heard the smoking will make it take longer to heal too.

If you have any good drugs leftover after you heal, you can send em my way

Fell asleep at 4. Just woke up, got to rush in bath and then get ready. Anxiety all over the place but I'm looking forward to getting back and going to bed. I'll be pain free by noon folks.

I think I deserve to have the party with the leftovers
