Interested to know what you feel came first anxiety or ibs?
I feel as though my ibs is causing me to feel anxious rather than the other way round?

Anxiety builds over time, in the background, mostly unnoticed. Building the disordered thought patterns long before it reaches a peak and we notice how far it’s progressed. I’ve had ibs since I was a child, I’ve had anxiety just as long, just in different ways.
I would say neither comes first, just that when one gets worse/noticeable so does the other.
