Low back pain and groin ache. Worrying it is something sinister. Am I being stupid?

Hi guys. I have been feeling lower back pain on my left side for about a week now. Before then I never noticed any pain. My lower back has always been a weak area of the body for me in general anyway.

However, i am a bit of a hypochondriac. I do worry excessively about my health and sometimes other people's health too. It is depressing and frustrating.

I will say why I feel I may be thinking stupid here though. I am currently unemployed, so I am home and due to the virus I haven't been out much at all.

I have been laying on my bed on the laptop, browsing stuff and not doing much to keep active. I have, however, been occasionally lifting weights I bought.

I am thinking I have the low back issue due to lifting the weights from the ground and also doing bent over rows with them. Not to mention doing jumping jacks and shadow boxing.

This back pain did seem to come on not long after I had a workout. I am thinking that I twisted wrong or lifted the weights wrong and pulled something.

On the other hand, I also worry because I also have the groin ache. But then I think if I may have done something there. I have felt a similar symptom before, but then it went away.

Along with all this, my gut is feeling achy. I wonder if this is all to do with my over worrying and anxiety. My mind starts going at 100mph when I am worried about my health. Also, not going out for a long while I have too much time to keep wondering.

I don't know what else to say, other than I would appreciate some helpful advice. Am I being silly?

Sounds like low back strain to me honestly. Just sounds like you need to get your body used to lifting weights and such. Your mind can and will always make things appear worse than they actually are. Have you tried anything for the pain like ibuprofen, tylenol, etc?

    That'll do it, for sure.

I'm taking it that you warm up before lifting weights?

I get pain in my groin as referred pain from my dodgy hip...

Achy guts and anxiety go hand in hand. Worry/anxiety will totally wreck havoc on your digestive system.

Only 100 mph? Mine goes warp speed! (that is, it used to...)

Also, not going out for a long while I have too much time to keep wondering.
Grab your coat, face-mask and hand sanitiser and get yourself out!

    Am I being silly?
In the words of the great Jim Trott, ' No no no no no no no no no, YES!'
