Thread: I don't know how to let him down gently..

I don't know how to let him down gently..

so, an online friend I've been talking to for a while now has managed to get me something (he won't tell me what it is), but tells me it's something I'll really love

here's the issue: he's really excited about sending it, but he doesn't have my address. he doesn't have my address because, I don't want him to have it (not because he's a bad person, I just don't want him to have my address, and to be fair, you never know)

I just don't know how to let him down gently. he's so excited, and if I reply to his email saying that he can't send it to me, he's going to be so upset

what's worse is that he actually traveled a way to get it. he actually searched high and low for this, so I feel I can't really let him down.. he's made a real effert

I think you can get things sent to post offices or drop off points..... so maybe look into that idea so then you don't have to let him down

    hi,

    thanks for your response.

I gave him the address of the post office and it's now on it's way

(and it's an ornament angel, going to be so nice!)
