    Favourite Movies

So in case anyone missed movie night (like myself), I'd thought I'd share some of my all-time greats in no specific order:

    - There Will Be Blood - which shows the horrors and corruption of greed and power.
    - Spirited Away - a fantastical approach to ghosts and the paranormal through the eyes of an incredible and wonderful imagination.
    - For a Few Dollars More - an all time spaghetti western classic that needs no introduction.
    - Blair Witch - the horror movie that redefined the genre and revived the whole "found footage" side-genre.
    - Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons - a great reimagining of the origins of the 16th century Chinese tale.

If you have any that you'd like to share, please go ahead.

Hot Fuzz - Do you like ice-cream?
Grease - Oldest teenagers in history. Phenomenal soundtrack.
Independence Day - Arse-probed-by-aliens crop duster gets his revenge.
    Bumblebee - Best. Prequel. Ever.
    Michael -
Sexy archangel who smokes, drinks and mends wounded hearts? It's a yes from me!

I loved 'Spirted Away' Mr London. Not my usual viewing but thoroughly enjoyed it.

Nora, I just recently watched 'Michael', great performance by John Travolta, as always.

Mrs S, 'The Shawshank Redemption' is brilliant has to be one of the top ranked films of all time.

I have too many favourites to list, lol.

Don't forget... FILM CLUB Saturday in Chat Room from 9pm.

It is. I've loved John since Saturday Night Fever. Actually, I think there was a film I liked him in before that. The Boy in the Plastic Bubble or something?

Yes Nora. Not seen that one you mentioned.
But I've seen another film where John Travolta is another angel of sorts with super powers which I can't quite remember but was just as good as 'Michael'.

    Phenomenon, Nora.
Not an angel as such, but gains super powers after being strike by lightning.
