What a blessed day it is today

Today is a great day, and I just wanted to share one of my positive days.

Big thank you to Phoenixess for unintentionally inspiring me to get up out the house last night. Took the dogs for a walk. It was a rough ride, but that night I felt more alive inside and ended up doing a weight lifting workout.

This morning I've had an agitated day. Bit of frustration with my partner, but in her favor she puts up with my wacky moods. I've been out shopping today, walked back with heavy bags. And I feel positive in general.

For me this is a success story. I've been locked in the house for about a month probably going to the shop once or twice.

Tomorrow I'm hoping for a round of golf. The course is a good few miles walk with my golf bag, but smashing the life out of those balls is the best feeling in the world.

    Note to future James:

You beat the anxiety today. You beat your brain today. If you're reading this and feeling anxious remember how you felt the day before you posted this? Remember the months of horrible anxiety and feeling low? Today you beat it, and you can do it again. Give your head a wobble lad.

I'm listening to King Kurt's 'Big Cock' album. (contains Nervous Breakdown - my anthem )

    Now ya have. You're welcome!

    What a bunch of chaps.
Bunch of chaps indeed! Even if you don't like their music, you have to admire their magnificent hairdos!

My dad literally pulled the plug on King Kurt because I was playing them 'too loud'.

Is there any other way when you are 14?

Then one day I was playing my Combat Rock LP (The Clash) and my mother booted the bedroom door open (in a menopausal rage) and she hurled the record out through the window!

Incidentally, Should I stay or Should I Go was playing at the time, so I guess the answer was 'go'!

    Oh to be 14 again...

Typical teenager ha ha. My son is a teenager now and it's hard work. The hardest years imho because as a parent you've done all you can to mold them into something great, and then go the complete opposite way. Lots of arguing back, lots of moodiness.

I was the same with my Dad. I was a DJ'ing when I was 13 so I'd be blasting music constantly practicing my DJ'ing. Instead of rock it was UK Garage and Grime.

I miss vinyl so much. I recently got a tape deck so I'm on the hunt for tapes. I like to sample old music and remake it into something different.
