Pulisa - I am so glad your children have had their vaccine. Especially your daughter, I hope it eases her worries a bit x

Thanks, Scass. It was harrowing getting her anxiety levels down in order to actually have the jab but I was able to go in with her and talk her down! The vaccinator was lovely and this really helped. She had the AZ so we were able to"escape" the room immediately afterwards.

I do hope you get yours soon..I'm sure it can't come quickly enough and I do feel that you should be included in group 6 x

Yeah I'm his registered carer, and mom. Could be that actually. And I don't know why I get offered the flu jab. I assumed it was because I've had Cancer but others I know that have had Cancer around my age are not getting offered. I'll ask the doctor tomorrow out of interest. Oh, got my first talking therapy session next Tuesday btw

Glad all went well for you, Lozbozpineapple and as you say, having the vaccine is a great investment for the future!
Really pleased for you and your children, Pulisa.

    Congrats!

Are you in the clinically vulnerable 16+ group. Did you look at the page describing the conditions it covers?

Great news Good to hear they were understanding too.

Will she feel safer for this?

I think so..in time. To be honest everything is overwhelming for her at the moment but having her first vaccine can only be a good thing. Thank you, Terry.

    Re: The vaccine

    Hi everyone,
I have the AstraZeneca vaccine booked in for tomorrow PM but I’m feeling very overwhelmed and scared firstly because I’m petrified of needles and secondly because I don’t want to be seriously ill from having had it done. I saw this thread and when I actually did have covid, knowing people on this site who also were/had going/gone through it, was nice reassurance. Can anyone recommend anything good to do before I go? Does it hurt and last a long time? Hope this message finds you all safe and well x

That's brilliant news that your daughter is vaccinated and will be protected Pulisa. However that sounds very traumatic for you both, I'm sorry that happened
