Unlike you, I'm not going to be lulled into false hope. Things can go wrong; if this virus shows us anything is that it is unpredictable and I am not going to get Pollyanna-ish about it.

Yes my jab is tomorrow. I'm a carer for my 2 adult children who have autism and severe anxiety so I am relieved...It's not as if I can go off sick if I become very unwell.

I hope the funeral encapsulates all you would wish for as a tribute for your mother-in-law and maybe you can plan for a further occasion to commemorate her life when more people are allowed to get together again if this is what you would like to do xx
It's very strange I must admit - 30 people, social distancing, ceremony is about 30 minutes but no longer, can't go to anyone's house after and of course worrying about the risk of covid with that many people.

I think we'll do something as soon as restrictions are lifted as you've said.

Thank you so much for your kind words - it's really appreciated

Excellent news for the jab for you - I hope it goes well for you and that your children are eligible for the jab soon? I should hope so xx

I hope so too. My son is group 6 so it should be a matter of weeks but my daughter "just" has ASD so will probably have to wait a while. It would be good if she could have the jab a few weeks before her birthday in June but it all depends on how jabs are allocated of course xx

You know what, I deleted my original reply because 1) I’m trying to not be so reactive on here and 2) I respect you.

What I will say is that there are small positives in a huge shitstorm, and focussing on them every now and again is good for you. It’s good for us all, especially right now.

That sounds hopeful for your son, our area (Norwich) was fairly slow at first but seems to be picking up speed now so hopefully same for where you are.

I'm sure your daughter wont be far behind - they are flying through them now and it'll only get quicker now hopefully. It's a shame they've not put your daughter into group 6 as well but id be surprised if she hasn't had the jab by June - fingers crossed! xx

Oh you're a fellow farmer like me Squishchips, Northamptonshire here. We're only simple folk in the sticks. I have a nephew in Norwich.

I'm not due to be jabbed until 310pm but will report back unless the Sputnik has me in its powers afterwards....

    Thanks for the good wishes.

Remember the arm exercises and sunny smile, PM..Every little helps!
