Really struggling today. Tongue has been twitching more than usual and I mispronounced/slurred some words that was very noticeable.

Can you feel your tongue twitching or is it only when you stick it out?? I think it's normal to mispronounce words on occasion, especially if you're feeling anxious at the time! I've done it many times before. You mentioned slurring your words a while back. I'm sure by now it'd be much worse if it were anything sinister.

Yeah I can feel them when my tongue is at rest. Yeah I think the slurring is somewhat in my head

I was diagnosed(?) with alcoholism so I hope people aren’t asking me that!

I too am having a bad day full of anxiety. My left arm issues continue and now my fingers are stiff in that hand. I will say, I’ve been doing SO much with that hand trying to prove to myself I don’t have weakness, including moving my fingers around like crazy. Maybe I just irritated them. But that and my muscle twitches are just getting to me today. Gosh I hate this.

Has anyone been to a neurologist to talk about their symptoms yet?

I have not. I have an appointment in late March but have been challenged by my therapist to cancel it and work on my anxiety. I asked my doctor if he thinks I should cancel and he was fine with it as he has told me before he doesn’t see als. I am going to watch my symptoms and see what I think in a week or two

Symptom comparing and logging your daily worries and symptoms, especially when none of you have this very rare disease is not constructive. I get that reassuring each other can be cathartic but after a month and 10 pages of reassurance seeking, how has it really benefitted anyone involved?
