Period issues

Oh the joys of womanhood!

Just wondering if anyone has experienced a similar situation as me, and hoping to quieten my HA brain before it drives me mad.

Warning for far too much tmi, I'm very sorry :(

Simply put, I had a poo while on my period and upon wiping there was a fairly sizable clot on the paper. It wasn't huge, but enough to have me alarmed. My worry is that this came from my bum rather than due to my period.

Does anyone else get blood at their bum while on periods?

Any reassurance would be nice.

Difficult to say at the moment due to my period. Is there any way to know for sure?

I haven't experienced this before (the clotting) when I'm not on my period though.

Sorry for the really personal question lol but do you wipe back to front or front to back? I’d say it’s very possible it didn’t come from your bum at all since you’re on your period. But can’t say that for sure obviously.

I can honestly never figure out what front to back means LOL. But I did it from nearest my vagina and up. I know it isn't unusual for blood to spread but this has me in a bit of a spiral :(

i get clots during my period, it's fairly normal for me. when i poop during my period sometimes it looks like the blood came from the poop but i have yet to experience a time when it wasn't from my period
