This is by far the best thing to do in terms of your health but it's so unfair that you have been financially penalised because of your health issues. You are only complying with government instructions after all. Is there any free legal advice you could get? I'm sure you will have looked at all options though..

In my case, I looked at the infection rates near North London and thought "no way". And because I'm self-employed, no work = no money.

Yes, it's made a big hole in my finances for this month but I'd prefer to be around to work at a later date rather than be seriously ill. As long as it's not another six months before I work again.

I agree with this. Maybe speak to ACAS or citizens advice?

I honestly have absolutely no fear of Covid, I find little sense in fretting over something that’s largely out of my hands.

Frankly, I just want it to f*ck off as soon as possible.

Does anybody feel the media are ramping up the fear more past week or so?

1,820 dead in the UK today. Do you think that's made up just to make people do what they should be doing?

    Idiot.

Re: How are you all coping with the fear of COVID?

I can't cope anymore, this pandemic has beaten me and I really can't anymore. I am so paranoid and beyond careful since March 2020 and I just can't anymore. My mother just ate candy with unwashed hands and that was the last straw, I can't be in fear for my life anymore, I am becoming sucidal, I don't want to suffer and die that way. I can't counting days anymore waiting for the symptoms to show. And now with all the new strains I am so exhausted, this shit will kill me, I know, this is all just waiting for death.
