    Skipped heartbeats INCREASED

I have always had pvcs/pacs since my early 20s at which time i did the echo stress and all was normal. Fast forward to my mid 30s and had some episodes that caused me to get a monitor for 24 hours which was normal. Now 4 years later in the pandemic this is the second time that for days in a row I seem to have a few hours where I have a ton. Seem to be really bad after I eat a heavier or carb meal and last night I felt one every minute or so for at least an hour. Never before have they been this many. I used to get just a few a day and freak out. But with these bouts this past week and a few months ago (which went away) I get maybe 50 a day or more but not all day just for a few hours. My pulse in between then is normal and not fast also no other symptoms. Should I be repeating my tests? Has anyone noticed a ton and then they just go away?

    Re: Skipped heartbeats INCREASED

Once or twice, I've experienced something similar. I timed my palpitations during the episodes, and they were two or three minutes apart, almost like clockwork. They lasted over 24 hours. I saw my cardiologist, and all he felt the need to say was how "they're such a nuisance sometimes, huh?" Or something to that effect.

Cardiologists look at the frequency to determine if palpitations may need to be further evaluated and treated. A friend of mine began experiencing them regularly last year, never experienced them before (at least not that she knew of). And suddenly it seemed like she was having them countless times per day, every day, along with some other mild symptoms. She saw a cardiologist who prescribed a medication (beta blocker, I think).

The ratio of abnormal beats to regular beats which is deemed acceptable is surprisingly high. I forget the number my friend's cardiologist suggested, but it's a lot.

    Ectopics worse after eating......

First of all lately my skipped heartbeats on some days are at a higher frequency than they ever were. I am sure several hundred a day as I am used to a max of 5 a day. I will say that on my bad days its usually after a day of drinking and or eating something that disturbed my stomach around a time of higher periods of stress. And on those bad days every time I eat food they increase for a couple of hours. I had a halter 5 years ago but I called my doctor today to get a new one since they have changed so much in volume. Problem is I am on vacation for the next week and wanted to be able to enjoy some social drinks. Now they dont seem to bother them as much as the food. Does anyone still allow themselves to enjoy some drinks when their ectopics are misbehaving or am I playing with fire?
