    ASMR

    Autonomous sensory meridian response.

A relaxing, often sedative sensation that begins on the scalp and moves down the body. Also known as 'brain massage'.
It's triggered by placid sights and sounds such as whispers, accents and crackles.

Millions of hits on ASMR videos.

    Has anyone tried this?

I’ve listened to some of those videos. Never experienced any sensations from them, other than annoyance at the chewing ones - can’t stand the sound of chewing lol. But some of them were actually quite relaxing!

I find them a bit odd, I suspect I either haven’t found a good one or they just aren’t for me.

    Re: ASMR

I think that ASMR may be helpful for people on the autistic spectrum and for people with a sensory issue.

    Ahh, that makes sense Pulisa.
I've watched several videos out of curiosity and just couldn't get it. Although I quite enjoyed the whispering.

Some things I can find 'ASMR' even when they're not technically supposed to be.

I think what passes for ASMR a lot of the time on Youtube though is young girls whispering in a sexual way.

    Probably lol

The implied sexualisation is just annoying though. If you want porn, go watch porn.

    I find this very ASMR
