New here ... need reassurance about lump in neck :(

Hi, so I've suffered from HA most of my life... it's been a bit better recently until a few days ago when I was feeling my neck and found a bony lump. There's one either side, I think we all have them but one of mine is bigger than the other side. It's pretty hard.. feels like cartilage maybe? Just wondered if anyone else's are uneven... having bit of a meltdown over it all. Stopped eating and can't sleep so feeling really low right now... x

It's your hyoid bone and yes, it can vary in size side to side as we're all asymmetrical by nature.
