Cat bit me my leg

My naughty cat bit my leg and it bled more than usual, not too deep but not too shallow and it's been 10 hours, it looks okay for now, I put an antibiotic cream but I am freaking out. I am picturing myself on IV medication in hospital catching coronavirus and dying, can't help myself because numbers here are terrible with the third wave.

I've had cats for years, many bites and scratches but lately I am freaking out every single time.
I feel sick from this worry, I am worrying that I'll wake up with high temperature and swollen leg.

It's really unlikely, please don't worry. You've done everything you should and I don't think bites are a worry unless they're deep punctures. I have an enthusiastic kitten right now and I'm covered in bites.

At least it wasnt a strange cat. Relax. In the uk we have phone numbers we can ring to get medical advice. I assume you have a similar thing where you are. Give them a call if you are worried.

With regards to covid, yes take it seriously but if I am correct in my assumption of your age, you are in a very good category. And even if I am wrong, the vast majority of people are ok and have mild or even no symptoms.
