    Blood streaks in mucus

    Hi All

Back in Dec I had a sore bum and then had a few red streaks in bowel mucus.

    All OK until today.

My IBS has flared up again and this morning my bottom felt sore and I had a few tiny streaks of red blood in the mucus in the stool.

    My bottom also feels sore.

    Has anyone else had this?

Sounds like piles to me. Super common.

    Pile Symptoms

    Hi all

I had a flare up of IBS Christmas time and had mucus with red streaks in it. Also had a sore bottom. GP said it was piles. No more occurances until this weekend. Sore bottom feeling, and the blood in mucus.
The soreness is worse when sitting.
Has anyone else experience this red mucus etc with piles?
Is it normal for them to reoccur?

    Rectal bleeding and blood tests

    Hi all

I have had 2 episodes of rectal bleeding three months apart - red blood in mucus, also a sore bottom feeling etc.

Dr requested full blood count etc.

I've rang back and they said blood tests are normal.
What do I do now, do I speak to the dr further about the bleeding, or just 'normal' so all is ok?!

    Thanks

The bloodwork ruled out anything sinister and your description makes it more likely to be piles or hemmies. I would speak to the doctor about those possibilities and what to do should they arise again and frankly, it's a pretty common thing and OTC remedies help (creams, stool softeners/added fiber like Miralax etc.).

    Positive thoughts

Having a wobble after googling blood in mucus....

I have posted before. I have blood in mucus on stool in Jan then again about 2 weeks ago.
Dr ordered blood tests all came back normal.

I made the mistake of googling and now I'm worried. I'm waiting for my GP to call me back.

I'm 40, and do have confirmed ibs (colonoscopy 2014).
