    Stomach issues and weight loss/gain

So I've shared my story on here. I've been having issues with my stomach for the last month and a bit. I've had a stool test which was fine, but the Dr wants me to be seen by a specialist just for an "MOT" as he said today lol. I'm slightly concerned because I'm not gaining weight. I went through a really bad stint of weight loss in February when someone in the family died, but since then I've barely put any weight on and despite increasing my food intake nothing is happening. I'm so scared I have cancer or something that's worsening as I wait around and I'm starting to develop malnutrition or something. I don't have enough of an appetite to be able to gain weight back quickly, but when I do eat I'm eating rather large meals. When I usually stop eating from bad anxiety, then get better and start eating again, the weight usually comes back quite quickly. But this time it's different. I have cut out some bad stuff from my diet to try and help my stomach, so whether that's doing it? I don't know. Does it sound sinister?

    Thank you.

Do you know exactly what you're eating now, or are you just jumping to conclusions?

And does what sound sinister? You seem to be adding up 2 plus 2 and coming to 7.

Unless you know exactly what you're eating now, it's impossible to know what's causing no change in weight, plus you're assuming NOT putting on weight is a negative thing based on times in your life that aren't now.

I explained it fully, that usually when I've had a bad bout of anxiety then start eating normally again I put weight back on. But this time I haven't. Of course I know what I'm eating, but apart from eating more healthily I'm not eating any less than I have done previously when not going through an anxious time. Which is why I'm concerned as to why I'm not gaining back the weight I lost. I'm eating weight gaining foods, like meat, rice, pasta, cereals and so on. But the weight isn't coming back. Usually within a couple weeks I start to look like myself again, but this time it hasn't happened.

    I mean EXACTLY?

Do you know how many calories you were eating before (when you put weight back on) compared to what you're eating now (when you're not)?

Unless you have those metrics recorded, you cannot compare now vs then, especially as you're eating more healthily.

Furthermore, it's not just a calorie/carb thing. You might be eating less frequently now, you might be burning more calories now etc. And sometimes your body doesn't behave like it did before 'just because'.
