stupid toe nail

hello, good evening.

im a picker and i always pick my toe nails, sometimes so much that they bleed etc.

well a week ago on friday i was picking ,my big toe nail, and it went all the way down the side almost touching the nail bed.... obviously it was very painful but i kind of forgot about it.. on monday it started to get a little red and swollen, and hurts when i walk etc. ive been doing salt water soaks, and smothering savlon on it and putting a dressing on it.. i did a lotr of walking yesterday and today its more angry looking, more pussy and sore.
is there anything more i can be doing to help it? im not fancying going to the doctors for an infected toe, but not sure if i need antibiotics or i should just keep doing what im doing???

You could try showing the pharmacist if you don’t want to see a doctor? They might recommend a way of keeping it clean and letting it heal.
