Lost one of our staffies today. We had 2 rescue staffs. Mother and daughter. My lad let the dogs in the garden this morning and forgot about them for a while, one jumped the fence and escape. She got hit by a car and had to be put down. Upset. Frustrated. This shouldn't have happened but the worst did.
I got woken up at 7.30 by the vet saying they had our dog, and our son was missing. I ended up having to call the police. He's back now.
So stressed.

It's the mother we lost. We still have her daughter. And just yesterday my mother in law's staffie died (health related issues) which was also the daughter of our dog. The odds of this happening?!
She was lovely, and very obedient. Fit and healthy and loved to accompany me on walks. We had some crazy adventures last summer rambling through the bushes and getting lost.

Well nobody knows him like you do. You've got an undesirable task ahead of you but I'm sure you'll handle it with love which will win the day. Not to lessen your loss Wired but I'm on my way to the funeral of a young man who is the son of friends of mine and was lost in a car crash just recently. Hang in there friend and good luck with your boy.
