Over the past 2-3 weeks the UK's Covid stats have seemed a little out of whack, with the dashboard and ZOE daily case stats both being at odds with each other, especially the latter now being lower numbers than the former, where as up until around early February or so it was the opposite way round.

The dashboard site in general has been a bit erratic of late, plus Public Health Wales have been doing a fair amount of chopping and changing of late, most notably not compiling their stats on Saturdays any longer and consequently double-counting on Sundays and Mondays.

It seems that overall Covid deaths in the UK have started to edge up again slightly over the same period despite overall infection levels not actually increasing and at worst, remaining mostly stable.

All very strange, though no reports of any major problems so far following last Monday's easements, and despite the latest scares over the SA and Indian variants also over the past week.
