Lump on left ovary-waiting for follow up

Ok just spoke to receptionist and my bloods are all normal apart from a couple but she said they were ‘acceptable’ and therefore the doctor wrote that I didn’t need to come back in. I didn’t ask which ones were acceptable, I just wanted to put the phone down! So, this is really good news, honestly I was expecting something terrible.
I will have to call my doctor anyway as I’m not sure what’s happening about my follow up scan. I think she was waiting for the blood results in order to see how urgent the scan might be.
For this evening at least I am going to take this good news!!

Oh this is such good news, Anna! If a scan were really urgent following the CA 125 test then you would have been referred straight away. I know you have questions to ask but I think you did the right thing by holding off asking and just taking in the good news.

This is brilliant news, very pleased for you. I bet you’re feeling a bit giddy with relief.

My CA125 results were also normal, and it’s such a weight off.

Update on my cyst. Feeling a bit concerned again. I had a follow up scan 6 weeks ago. Sonographer noticed a ‘patchy area’ but didn’t elaborate, however she did ask if I’d had a blood test which I did have and it was ok. Only managed to speak to GP 3 weeks ago about results and she wants to refer me to a gynae to investigate as I’m still getting pain in that area (particularly after sex). My issue is that now I’ve just received my referral and it’s not until 6th December which is 4 months away! Not sure to push for a sooner one, or shell out and go private? My fear is that this is ovarian cancer and it’ll get worse and spread by December. Not sure I’ll cope with this anxiety for a further 4 months!!

I’m sorry it’s not smooth sailing for you.
I was referred to a gynaecologist too and they sent me for an MRI, so perhaps the same will happen with you.

Saw gynae earlier than expected. Today I go in for a hysteroscopy (a camera going in to check inside of my womb for any abnormalities).

I've just went through your thread as I've had similar pain,no bleeding thankfully but I've got myself in a spin thinking the worst obviously.
How did your more recent appointment go? Hopefully your mind has been put at ease x
