It almost looks like you were looking for a shoulder to cry on, and that's not really what Doctors are for.

It was pretty evident that you just needed some support, and I'm guessing Doctors are seeing a lot of that at the moment because of lockdowns. They really don't have time for that, and are probably frustrated.

That's what places like this are for though!

I'd much prefer have this approach for myself rather than be trundled off for a series of unnecessary tests for reassurance and CYA purposes.

I know it was a bit of a shock, Dee but I think this GP may have done you a favour. You are taking responsibility for your HA by starting CBT again tomorrow. You don't need any more tests and reassurance only lasts a short while anyway as is what happened after you saw the paramedics last weekend.

Far better to be able to sort yourself out and not feel dependent on the mood and availability of GPs x
