FIT and Blood Tests

Hi all

I've posted before about some bleeding I've been experiencing. I'm 40 and had a neg colonoscopy 7 yrs ago.
Very very slight bleed on outside of poo at the start of the year, then beginning of April, then last week. Its bright red and mixed in with mucus on outside or separately of poo. All times its been quite painful when I've been.

Contacted GP each time and its been a separate GP each time.
I've had blood tests and no anemic.
I've had a FIT test and one for inflammation both negative.
Ive had a rectal exam and felt a small pile.

Yesterday another GP said she consulted with a senior GP who said there are no grounds for a referral for a colonoscopy, and even though I'm anxious this is something serious referring for further tests produces more anxiety.
She said as all the tests esp the fit test are negative the chance of it being something sinister is highly unlikely.

I'm still feeling concerned.

Why? There's a cause..a small pile. You don't want an unnecessary colonoscopy just for reassurance purposes. They are not without risk.

It will be piles.

I just have been contacted to get my regular colonoscopy - you really don't want to do it unless they insist.
