    Pfizer Vaccine Anxiety

    Hi everyone,
I suffer from health anxiety and am
Due for my vaccine today. I am soo worried and scared. I would love to hear some positive stories. Ive felt dizzy all week knowing the day is nearing.
Everyone around me has just turned up had the vaccine and gone shopping afterwards or something.
I would love to be like that but instead ive been worrying sick all week, wondering if ill actually be ok after the vaccine. :-((

    Hi leyala

I’ve had both doses of Pfizer and I was absolutely fine. The only side effect I had was an achey arm for about a day. I was like you, worrying myself sick and convinced I would react but I was fine. They ask you to wait for 15 minutes after you have the jab then you can go home. I work in a hospital so know a lot of people who had the jab and most were fine. Those who did get side effects just felt tired and a bit fluish for a day. Xx

I was fine after both of my Pfizer jabs. Just a routine sore arm. No big deal.

The anxiety symptoms will be far worse for you than any mild side effects you may get....if you do get any at all, that is.

It's to protect you from Covid which would be a far bigger deal than a sore arm. You'll cope, Leyala and if you can't go through with it then there's always another opportunity.

Thank you I really appreciate you responding, yeah I think the anxiety will just magnify everything else for me.
My husband had his Thursday and I was unfortunate to see two ladies faint whilst we were there, i think thats made it so much more harder for me.

I do feel so silly because we are so fortunate to have a vaccine but Its my irrational thoughts I cant seem to control.

I had my first Pfizer yesterday morning

I've got a bit of a dead arm if I try and lift it above my head.

Nothing else of note, feeling fine, the nurse did say I may need to take a few paracetamols if I get some flu like symptoms, also to keep hydrated!

It was fine really, also my parents have had both doses of pfizer each, the only thing I'm aware of is my dad had a headache for a couple of hours.
