Thank you both. I can't believe it's been nearly 2 years, at times it feels like 5 minutes and others it feels a long time. I still miss her terribly.
I don't think it matters how much time has passed...The loss is still so painful and present especially when these unwanted anniversaries come around. You have to learn to cope with bereavement but that doesn't mean that it gets any easier.

You're right P, anniversaries/birthdays bring it all back to the front of my mind, trying to be kind to myself this week.
I hope tomorrow is bearable...My Dad always used to say "it's just another day" re my Mum's anniversary but it never was or could be. I'm sure you will have your own special way of marking the day which she would appreciate. Take care
