IBS Flare After Surgery

Hi All

I have laproscopy for gynae issues earlier in the week. Since then my bowels have had a life of their own.
I was constipated so was given movicol, I took 2 sachets a day for 3 days, but now for the last 2 days its been the other way, rushing after eating.

Can surgery mess up IBS?
I've stopped the movicol and an taking busopan now.

Yes. Your bowels have to be moved during surgery to get at other organs. Also the gas they pump into the abodmen makes you feel weird for a while.
