I cannot eat a jaffa cake by biting into it. I first bite the chocolate off, then eat the jaffa bit, then eat the cakey bit.

This is the best way to get the most out of your jaffa cake.

Maybe I'm a bit perculiar? I also eat Double Deckers in a similar way; bite the chocolate off, bite the crunchy base off and then eat the floppy nougat bit.

Ok, so I'm probably not going to be invited round for snacks at anyones house real soon.

Good point Pulisa. I don't think it's either, it's an imposter of a cake and it's not crunchy enough to be a biscuit or dunkable, It's unique!
And caused great problems when HMG tried to classify it for taxation, I recall!!

I have real trouble with a brand of biscuit often seen in commercial premises - "Biscoff".

Now, I know that's probably meant to be a portmanteau word of "Biscuit" and "Coffee", but I just home in on the "scoff" bit!

Do you have a system for eating Penguin biscuits, catkins? Favourite wrapper colour etc?

I haven't had one for ages. But I do! You bite the chocolate off the edge, separate the two biscuit bits, lick off the cream and then eat the two halves. I would probably choose red as a colour option.

    Am I weird?

Not at all! We all have systems for ultimate enjoyment of food we like and why not?

The psychs would say it's " food mindfulness" I suppose?
