Severe Vaginal Thrush - anyone ever had flaking/slight peeling?

I finished antibiotics yesterday morning and for the last 2 or 3 days I have had intense vaginal thrush. It is deffo thrush as the discharge and yeast smell (sorry TMI) is very obvious. However, this time my thrush seems a bit different as it is itchy and has slight peeling/flaking. I had a shower and then looked and thought it was tissue paper bits rolled up but knew it was not as I had just washed so when I wiped it made it worse. I am freaking out it was Stevens Johnson Syndrome but my friend who is a Dr said it is not that as I would have a rash etc.

I am just wondering if anyone else has had bad thrush with some flaking and peeling?

I think that’s just the way thrush is isn’t it? It’s cottage cheesey so potentially could look like flakes.
Have you tried treating it?

This is actual skin peeling though it’s not the chunks of discharge (I also have that) I have been treating the external part with cream and just got a pessary to do this evening

I used to get thrush a lot when I was younger but to be honest I didn't look close enough to see if the skin was peeling.

But if you think about it, athletes foot is a fungal infection and that makes your skin peel. So I would say it's part of thrush.

It would make sense it’s thrush due to you just having antibiotics. Obviously a bad case, but keep using the ointment. Maybe get some tablets if it doesn’t clear up.
