Anxiety returning

I've been doing really well anxiety wise for the past three years. I finally came off the fourth & final medication venflaxine back in February this year & all has been well up until now, virtually anxiety free. A few recent events seem to have fired the old anxiety back up a bit, overthinking things & waking up in the mornings feeling unsettled. I'm hoping it is just a blip & I will get back to baseline again soon. Has anyone else had this experience after coming off medication? I really don't want to go back on it as it was hell coming off it all & it would feel like I've undone all the hardwork.

When you stop medication it can take 4-5 months to leave your system totally, overthinking events and waking up with anxiety are common and i have suffered these symptoms over the years and have learnt to live with them when they reoccur.

I Think most anxiety sufferers will recognize these problems and they do reduce over time you can overcome them with some CBT techniques and some discipline..

Starting medications was hell for me and stopping was quite easy, that was Citalopram maybe with different effects...there is no logic to this condition sometimes.
