Missed period after simple cyst diagnosis!

It started two months ago with a 2 day period in May then in June I had two (normal length) periods with the second one starting one week after. So I went to my gyno and had an ultrasound where they found a 5cm simple cyst on my left ovary. The doctor told me to come back next (this) month 3 days after I finish my period, but it’s over a week late!!!

I’m so worried what’s happening to my period recently! Has anyone missed a period after being diagnosed before or after with a simple cyst?

I’m 38 years old and have gained weight since the beginning of this year due to comfort eating from stress. Also the heat is really getting to me and I can’t sleep properly.

Yes, this is pretty normal for having a cyst. Just call the doc back and let them know what's going on. They will go ahead and schedule your next appointment.
