    Mini pill and cramps

    Hi all,

I've been on desogestrel nearly a year and only experienced spotting within the first few days of starting it. Never since have I had spotting nor cramp feelings besides one time in which I missed it when I was moving house.

Yesterday and the day before I noticed cramp pains, which I've woken up with again today, and a brownish/pinkish discharge has also appeared :( Is this normal?

For reference I am in the process of starting a new job with very early hours which interfere with when I take the pill. I'm still getting used to it. However there's a 12 hour window with my pill, and I've taken it later than usual (but within the window) before with no consequences. Can stress/anxiety affect these things? I'm finding it very hard to stay positive and not think there worst right now :(

    Re: Mini pill and cramps

I'm not an expert and as I'm menopausal my experience is a bit dated. But I do remember that my periods used to get affected by stress and anxiety to varying degrees.

You could always ask for a phone consultation with the nurse at your GP practice?
