    Zoloft and palps

Hello, I recently started Zoloft around two weeks ago. Since then I have noticed a very heavy increase in my palpitations. I’ve always had them but man it seems like it’s every other beat now. Is it the Zoloft? What’s going on? I’ve had an echo, ekg, and holter monitor done a few months ago and all was normal. So I’m trying not to panic too much. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Not an expert on this, but I know that with a lot of medication given for anxiety that there can be an increase in anxiety when first starting them which could explain the perceived increase in palpitations? You could be feeling a little more anxious and more aware of it?

I did have this issue when I was on higher dosage (175MG +) but I find lowering the dosage helped. Did anything show form the holter monitor? I already have per-existing cardiac issues and take medications for my heart.

I hope you feel better soon.
