    Supporting meds

    Hi all,

I have relapsed in anxiety, I think due to loss of effectiveness of my current AD meds.

I am looking to switch to another SSRI or SNRI, but some help to get through that would be great.

I see benzos and beta blockers mentioned for short-term relief- any views as to which are better? I'm aware of the issue of addition to benzos. Also, would those work with sleeping tablets (ie z-drugs)?

    Thanks!

Hi, Ive tried a dozen SSRI SSNI ,I got addicted to benzos ,reach tolerance at about 20mg a day then needed more so i was getting out of control. then via NHS was weind off diazepam and put on Pregabalin 300mg twice a day and they take they lessen many symptoms . Still need to work at CBT though .

Sleeping tablets like Zopeclone are addictive too.

    Good luck

    Thanks tham.

Doc didn't want to prescribe benzos, probably as the are addictive.

I'm well aware of the risks with z-drugs, being very careful how I use it!!
