Temporal arteritis

I've managed to control my HA for a few months now, but I have a headache over my temple and it feels a bit tender and now I'm worried i have temporal arteritis!
I do suffer from headaches, but I know I should check with my gp.

May I ask how old you are? My MIL had this, and it only affects very specific age brackets.

Okay, so not outside the realms of possibility. Much more likely to be a tension headache, though.

Hello pb!
Just to say that I've got really sore scalp muscles after a bad one-sided headache yesterday. If you can try some gentle massage it will help as there is often an active trigger point involved. Sometimes the pain can be referred from the neck/shoulders as well. Look up headaches and trigger points because there is some useful info oline about referred pain and self-help methods.
