Just started taking citalopram and have counselling
This time tomorrow I’ll know for sure 😪 really worried, my hearts beating really fast just thinking about it
Results later, so worried 😪
Total waste of time, 10 mins to ask me questions, results not even back yet why couldn’t they tell me when making the appt that it was literally just going to be questions??? So mad
Were you able to ask them any questions? Do they know when the results would be back?

He said the next few days, and I didn’t really get a chance to ask questions, I asked if he thought it could be anaplastic thyroid cancer but he said he couldn’t give reassurance over the phone :( he wasn’t a thyroid specialist
Well that's just lame.
Try to hang in there. Ultimately it will likely all work out, they just sound really poorly organized.

Update: got my biopsy results back… Thy3a includes atypical nuclear, cytoplasmic and/or architectural features but is insufficient to be placed in any of the other diagnostic categories, and so it is not possible to classify with confidence whether a lesion is benign, suspicious for malignancy, or malignant. So basically they’re not sure :( was the same dr that rang me yesterday, bless him I think he knew I was a bit anxious about it. I have an appt with the thyroid specialist Monday :( so basically got 2 inconclusive results. Still worried.
Just updating this thread…had my op and further FNA etc…it’s minimally invasive follicular thyroid cancer 😪😪 the surgeon says I don’t need a CT or MRI but I don’t know how he knows it hasn’t spread?? I might not need the other half out but he needs to have his meeting first to make a decision.
I’ve had on off shoulder pain for 3 years, terrified it’s spread already but he refuses to scan me to find out 😪 I’ve probably got other cancers too 😪 this is going to kill me I know it
Breathe. Your surgeon knows what he's doing. If he's not scanning you it's because after all his years of training, he doesn't think you need it.
