Convinced I have bowel cancer

Hi so I have been for a ct scan with contrast they said they could see some inflammation and my colon has some narrowing but they said it could be it spasming so not sure about it. I'm booked in for a colonoscopy no date but think it should be in the next 2 weeks

When you have the colonoscopy you will probably have some buscopan to prevent the spasming.

Try and find out the date for your scope because otherwise there may be some confusion as to which department (Gastroenterology or A&E) is arranging it? My son had this problem.

Thanks Pulisa I may try any ring the booking team but don't really want to complicate things if I ring they may cancel it and not get one at all

so still waiting for my colonoscopy rang the booking team but they could not give me a date. Now I have been sent a message from my doctors saying they need to repeat a blood test that I had at the hospital last Wednesday that I had before my ct scan now I'm worried again i had just started to calm down a bit.

They could have just lost the blood test from last week? It's been a week since the scan so it can't be an urgent matter.

Yes I may be overthinking things hopefully. When I rang the booking team they said I should have a appointment in the next couple of weeks so maybe I'm not on the 2 week pathway .

So I have my date for my colonoscopy its 30th January just hoping for good news

I'm glad you've finally got a date for this and good luck for the procedure. The bowel "preparation" is the worst bit but all in a good cause if it gives you some clarity.
