Thread: Possible battery leak anxiety.

    Possible battery leak anxiety.

I had a CR2 battery in my pants pocket and put it in the washing machine. It flew out the pocket and was sitting in the drum. I picked it up with my bare hands and took it out of the washing machine. It was a little sticky but it could have been from the detergent. I also handled my laundry with bare hands and hung them to dry. (Nothing happened to my hands by the way unless it’ll happen way later but I washed my hands after.) I’m worried about the laundry and if they are still safe or if they might have any toxic residue on it. I don’t know what to do with the laundry, I re-rinsed them and that was it.

“CR2 batteries are typically manganese-dioxide lithium with carbon-monofluoride lithium.”
