White patch in nose for a year. I’m so frightened

Hi, I’ve been in tears all morning. I’ve had a small white jelly type patch just inside my nose since early last year. It started (I think) when I was using nasal drops for an ear pressure issue that I still have. I stopped using the drops as I was worried it was damaging my nose and expected it to go away.

I finally went to the doctors a couple of weeks ago hoping he could diagnose it as polyps or something else that’s not sinister but he sent me away with some antibiotics and cream for ten days and said to come back after to see the ENT specialist doctor. I said to him that I thought nose cancer was quite rare hoping for reassurance but he said that lumps and bumps grow everywhere in the body but most of the time they aren’t cancer so i felt it was something that had crossed his mind but he said if I’ve had it for a year he would expect it to have got worse.

ive come to the end of the antibiotics and the cream and it doesn’t seem like it’s improved so I’m convinced it’s some sort of nasal cancer or even more likely skin cancer as I know I’ll get it at some point from being stupid in the sun in my teens.

it’s my youngest daughter’s birthday next weekend and I don’t feel as though I can enjoy it as I’m so worried I’m dying.

Please can anyone give me some advice. I’m so scared to go back the doctors and get referred.

I have a weird spot just inside my nose, which is white too. Been there for years. I've never mentioned it to a doctor. Never gets any bigger and sometimes it goes altogether for a few days. No idea what it is......

7 months on and I’m still panicking as the lump in my nose is still there. I made the mistake of googling in the early hours of this morning and I found a couple of medical studies where people had been diagnosed with nasal cancer or skin cancer in the nose. Nothing seems to have changed and I’ve had it for nearly 18 months but after reading that a symptom can be blockage of the nose I’ve noticed that I can breathe better through the nostril that doesn’t have the scab. I’m constantly messing with it which doesn’t help but I just want it to disappear.

I’ve been reading through posts on here from people that have a similar thing and someone has commented that their friend had a basal cell skin cancer inside their nose and I’m petrified it could be that as I’m at a higher risk of getting skin cancer

I did go the doctors (as posted previously) and was given cream and antibiotics but it didn’t work and I’ve not been able to get in with the ENT specialist doctor but have not really tried either as I’m so scared of having tests and getting a cancer diagnosis.

can anyone offer some advice? I’m falling down a dark hole again. Thank you.

I looked at a few pictures of nasal polyps online and decided that's probably what mine is. Have you considered this? My sister had some of these removed from her sinuses. It's odd what bothers us and what doesn't, isn't it?
