Hi everyone, hope all is well. I suppose it's time for my bi-yearly post as I manage my healthy anxiety.
I posted back in 2020 that I was having heart palpitations, and my doctor said that were most likely caused by anemia. I took iron supplements and they went away for a long time. Well, they started up again last month so my doctor did an ECG. She didn't find any glaring issues but scheduled me for an ultrasound in March. She said she wants to check for possible heart enlargement - which sounds scary! I'm away at college, so I can't get any sooner treatment.
Since I can't see my doctor right now, I thought I'd ask a question here for others who have gone through this. What is an ECG capable of detecting? I worry about having some freak cardiac episode that went undetected by my last ECG. I think it might help me to understand its function a bit more - if anyone has any insight or experiences to share I would appreciate it.
