It's odd really, I posted in the other thread about pounding heart, I've actually never considered an AAA.

I mean my whole body rocks, if I lay on my bed with my laptop on my lap its bouncing all over the place. I can see why you'd consider an AAA!

I used to be overweight, not hugely but definitely a bit too chubby! I was about 115kg, I've got rid of most of that now, I'm down to about 80kg. My problems actually started after the weight loss (I don't think they are related but) I kinda assumed it would be more obvious if there was less padding to hide it? If I put anything on my stomach it would get bounced off, my pulse is very obvious. I wouldn't say theres any sort of bulge though.

I had a CT scan/contrast but I guess that only did my heart/lung area and didn't go any lower. It just said my lungs were clear of anything sketchy and my Aorta looked good (despite going for a scan on my heart they never even mentioned it, I don't know if thats good or bad)

For me its something I've had for the best part of 20 years now, something happened about 18 months ago which made it worse and its stuck ever since. (I have no idea what) No one seems fussed and I have such a massive phobia of seeing doctors I'm foolishly playing the "I've not dropped dead yet, so I'm probably fine" card instead of trying to get it sorted, I'd love to reduce the general annoyance of it though, It's wrecking my sleep.

Anyone on fluoxetine long term? Heart palps and blood pressure

Sorry I'm making another thread related to my heart worries. I was looking at the side effects of the meds I've been on since 2016 and heart palps and discomfort is one of the symptoms. My heartbeat is noticeable and I've been having stings and discomfort for a few years in my left chest.
Usually side effects are just when you're starting on the new meds but has anyone here experienced this long term?

I can see the pulse in my stomach, especially when I'm lying down. I've had numerous abdominal scans and they've looked at the aorta (as matter of routine) each time. No issues.

Hi Nora, thank you for responding to me. Is it noticable all the time and can you see it in your chest too?

    Scared,

IMO, this is purely a case of HA hyper-focusing and Dr Google. We are living sentient beings and its totally natural to see and feel the life coursing through our bodies, especially when we hyper-focus on it. I don't expect this to comfort you, but its fact.

I really hope that's the case. I should add that I had COVID back in February and I have read that people have gotten irregular beats after it.

Glad you're better but you don't have an AAA IMO. Visit your doctor if in doubt, The 'Told Ya So' gang on standby

    More visible heartbeat after COVID?

Hi, I'm in the throes now of heart anxiety. Thing is I can see my chest wall and abdomen beat along with my heart. I can't really feel a pulse in my chest, just the abdomen if I dig down deep enough to feel the aorta, I just see the movement with the heartbeat. I had COVID back in February and I wonder if this could be related, I remember seeing the abdomen do this before and never worried about it but I'm in a panic now.
    Anyone had this post Covid?
