    depersonalization and anxiety

    Hi

After being a few years clear of this "thing" it seem to have back with a vengeance it all started when i got covid two weeks ago. It started with not wanting to go out and the always checking my oxygen readings with my oxi meter. Then a few days later I just felt completely detached from my surroundings like its odd to describe i feel like im not here but i am here i feel spaced out all the time but not when im at home home is like my comfort zone its so odd. I always feel like im going to die but my oxygen is always a good 97-100. I just need to see if anyone else suffers with depersonalization and what their symptoms are.

    thank you for reading

    Re: depersonalization and anxiety

Hi there I like you am suffering with anxiety and depersonalization. I have had anxiety on and of for over thirty years I am currently going through a tough patch. What i find when i have dep symptoms is the more you fight the feelings (ie) trying to force them away the stronger they feel . what helps me is accepting them and try and pay them little attention this is difficult I know . But I have had them before and know they will eventually go away be it a day a week a month they will fade and become insignificant Dont put a time scale on them they will eventually fade .accept them for what they are an unfamiliar feeling and sensation . Remember there is always light at the end of a tunnel.
