Teeth Grinding

Hi all,

Does any one else grind their teeth all the time. I literally, all day and night, grind my teeth and im sure this cant be good for them lol. Is this anxiety, habit or both maybe??

I grind my teeth,have done for years,day and I think at night to.My dentist has picked up on it,my bottom front teeth are worn,Iv had alot of problems with jaw ache and headaches.I also clench my teeth alot even without noticing.Anxiety is the cause in me.

I have this in fits and starts - it seems uncontrolable, but it has subsided in the past few days!

Makes your gums saw, as my jaws are not aligned properly and some other drugs I have to take promote gum growth - grrrr!

I started grinding my teeth when my wisdom teeth started coming through. They still are now but I'm wondering if it will go away once they're fully through. It probably is to do with anxiety Carl, as people clench their teeth when they are tense. Try doing relaxation exercises regularly http://www.patient.co.uk/showdoc/27000363/

You can also get a mouthguard to wear at night to stop you doing it then.
