    Re: Nature

I'll blow my brain if I try to post pictures so it's words for now..

We're semi-rural and we have a lot of woodland and countryside close to us. There are deer in the woods (but the buggers won't pose for pics) A really fat squirrel who visits us every day. Foxes. Birds a plenty. Sheep. Horses. Llamas...

    Oh, and LOTS of pigeons!

One was tapping at my bedroom window the other week. It freaked me out tbh, especially as I was flying on the codeine at the time..

The pigeon was eyeballing me through the window (I have a pic) and I said, 'Ma, is that you?' (thinking that my deceased mother may have temporarily inhabited the body of a pigeon, and I wouldn't put it past her)

I love it. In autumn I stand in the woods and it looks like it's snowing golden flakes. It's truly breath-taking. It's actually breath-taking because it involves a very steep climb and I'm unfit lol

Nature, you can't beat it. It's medicinal. And it's free..

The silhouette in the mountain is known as Stoney Man. You can see what looks like a nose coming off the mountain. The view is from Stoney Man overlook in the Shenandoah National Park.

That's wild! They're huge! No mistaking them for 'ninja bats" eh?

When we visited Australia (many years ago) Lolalee I was absolutely stunned at fruit bats, they make our little ones look very weedy!

    Re: Nature

I live outside of Baltimore, Maryland and my two favorite bits of nature around here are the cherry blossoms right along my street and this public garden filled with tulips every year! It's so hard to capture the garden in photos. It's magnificent!
