Why look at it, then? If it's going to stress you out, find something that doesn't.

    Very interesting link PM.

The only problem is, is it always possible enough to persuade the serial conspiracy theorists, know-it-alls and irrational 'rabble rousers' to read through it and take note of it?

Examples like the anti-5G brigade and the early pandemic toilet roll snatchers were (and probably still are) a sheer embarrassment to our society.

Exactly BI. It's hardly Covid all over again and only likely to affect a tiny minority of the population if it does go on to become an actual 'outbreak'.

Plus we still have vaccines to help mitigate it, unless one is a full-on antivaxxer of course.

    Ditto for Monkeypox.

Why are they obsessed with health? Did they get bored of the war?

The DM ran with the headline as did the 'I' which is the same news company, also the Metro. What about Sun, Guardian, Express, Times, Mirror, and the rest go with as their main banner? If polio was further down their list, then they don't think it's that important, it's news, but not the main item.

They're always obsessed with something or other; they keep going round in circles regurgitating the same old same old (moral) panics, be it diseases (Covid, Monkeypox, Hepatitis, Polio, AIDS/HIV, Norovirus, Ebola, Swine Flu, Bird Flu, etc), drug abuse, knife/gun crime, feral youths, terrorism/war threats, the economy, child abuse, scandals involving the likes of MPs and members of the Royal Family, the weather, you name it.

I think they have a bit of a habit of crying wolf a lot of the time.

If this current Polio 'scare' really was so mega serious, the other rage would be hyping it up on their front pages too.

It will probably be something else in a couple of weeks' time.
