Had Trigeminal Neuralgia for 7 years. MS panic, please help :(

Hi, I’m worried sick. I have had TN for 7 years which was diagnosed around 6 years ago by the neurologist. Now I’m worried that I actually have MS :/ my pain is only ever in one nerve branch and never had any other symptoms. If I had MS would I be presenting more symptoms by now? As my TN does flare and go into remission :(

I had trigeminal neuralgia for a short time. Turns out it was likely due to a tooth filling that needed replacing. They replaced the filling and my GP put me on an epilepsy medicine (can't remember the name) and it worked. It never came back.

I also subsequently had an MS scare in the following year with other symptoms and my neurologist did an mri of my brain and it was clear.

Has your neurologist mentioned an mri?
