Anxiety and ibs

Hi not posted for a while but in a bit of a panic yet again. My biggest fear is bowel cancer and has been the main focus of my health anxiety for over 18 years.

For the last few weeks I’ve had an upset stomach roughly about twice a week, this is causing intense anxiety even though it’s happened before. I’ve been signed off work for about 6 weeks now for anxiety and depression and this ibs flare up started around the time my anxiety got worse. I’ve also increased my sertraline up to the highest dose over the last week. As usual when I feel this way I eat less so don’t know if this is having an impact on my ibs or not.

Sertraline dosage increases very commonly cause digestive issues.

I've been on it for a month now and have had a slew of digestive issues that have sparked my HA.

Also yes, anxiety can cause an incredible amount of digestive symptoms, I would say it's arguably one of the areas that anxiety affects the most, physically.

Also, upset stomach isn't a symptom of bowel/colon cancer.

I’ve been having bouts of diahorrea for just over 5 weeks, I only increased my meds a couple of weeks ago. This has happened to me before but for some reason it’s not reassuring me
