I'm so sorry that your parents are such a toxic presence in your life, Blue..A whole weekend in their company is far too much to endure.Can you cut these visits down in future?Quality not quantity of time etc?

So sorry I didn't see your post sooner. Hoping things are sorting themselves out Blue, the old adage you can choose your friends but not your family is so true. It's hard to accept when they aren't what you want or need, sometimes you just have to accept it and minimise the damage they can cause.
