Joe, are you able to get carer's allowance to bolster your finances?

    Hey Pulisa

Unfortunately not as I 'earn' too much'.

The problem isn't just income, it's compounded by the cost of living issues (misses needs a specific diet after her operation and it's VERY expensive) and the fact we had £6k taken back from Tax Credits just before everything got expensive as one of their adjustments because my tax return was £1800 higher than expected.

It's absurd the way they do it.

She does get PIP and Mobility, which helps, but I guess it's the same for everybody at the moment.

Andd it’s hit me again. Think triggered by someone coming in when they only tested positive a few days ago. ( apparently only advised to stay off 3 days). Doesn’t help I’ve still got a slight cough too.

    Here we go again 😪

Just keep telling yourself 'if I'm going to get it, I'm going to get it'.

If it wasn't work, it could be the supermarket. You enjoy your work, so keep focusing on the parts you like.

There's still also plenty of other 'untoward' things that can happen to us on a daily basis as well as catching Covid that most of us don't usually give as much as a second thought to, whether at home, work or anywhere, but I won't bore (or even scare) the OP to death by listing them all in this thread.

The key here is to just accept that 'shit happens' and get on with your life. It's not about auditing all the possible dangers in life and ranking them by probability.

Live for today, and today you don't have covid. If you get covid tomorrow, worry about it then, but not too much, beacuse there's a 99.9% chance you'll be back to normal in a few days.
